New York breakout setup
At the New York session, mark two or three clear support and resistance zones. Use the 2:30 candle break as the main entry trigger.
Possible re-entries
- A break through the opposite zone.
- A second break through the same zone when momentum is strong enough.
- A bounce from another marked zone.
Defined risk, planned reward
- US30: use a 30–35 point stop.
- NAS100: use a 25 point stop.
- Aim for at least 3R (a 1:3 risk-to-reward ratio).
- When the trade reaches +2R, move the stop to break-even.
Know when to stop
- Maximum of three trades per day.
- Stop after two losses in a day, including two consecutive losses.
- After one break-even and one loss, one trade remains available.
- After one winning trade, stop trading for the day.

Lot-size reference assumes a 30-point US30 stop, a 25-point NAS100 stop and $1 per point per 1.0 lot. Verify your broker’s contract specifications. Calculate lots as risk ÷ (stop points × value per point), rounding down to 0.01. Recalculate US30 size if using a 35-point stop.
Set the trade levels consistently
Choose Fib Retracement and draw from your stop-loss to your entry. Enable these levels:
- 1: stop-loss
- 0: entry
- -1: +1R
- -2: +2R — move stop to break-even
- -3: +3R — minimum target
Use the same stop-to-entry placement for every trade. Negative levels identify profit targets beyond the entry.
